Boinga 2026

And now, a brief description of every game we intend to have... so far.

Indie Board Game Designers - We're inviting a handful of local Boston board game designers to show off their cardboard creations. Jump from table to table to play the games and meet the people who made them.

Reality-TV-Show-Inspired Games - Underground Games is a local Boston company that has custom built a series of challenges meant to emulate those seen on TV, and they're bringing some of their favorite challenges to our event. Legally, we shan't say which reality TV show inspired these games, but if you're the best at these challenges, then you'll walk away as the ultimate SURVIVOR.

Puzzle Room - Co-Operatives is a wonderful puzzle room company located in Faneuil Hall, featuring puzzle rooms where players must find clues, unlock secrets, and solve a series of puzzles to escape the room. And they're bringing one of those rooms to our event. *

*Playing the Co-Operatives Room does cost an extra fee, but that price is heavily discounted from what they would charge if you played in Downtown Boston.

Boda Borg Challenges - Boda Borg Boston is a series of puzzle rooms located just north of the city, giving players a chance to challenge their mental and physical accuity. Their team is coming to our event to host a series of fun challenges at their table.

This is Board Games - Quincy Board Game Group- a wonderful (and FREE) board game meetup group boasting over 800 members- will be onhand to introduce people to the world of board games. In each session, they'll teach you the game, then give you a chance to play, with signup slots available for 2-player games, co-operative games, party games and more complex games.*

1990s Movie Fantasy Draft - It's like fantasy football meets 1990s movie appreciation. You and your competitors will take turn drafting movies, filling out your roster. Except, instead of drafting to fill positions like Quarterback and Wide Receiver, you'll be trying filling positions like "Rom Com" and "Action Movie." If you're not a fantasy sports person, but you are a 1990s movie person, don't worry, you're still gonna have a blast.*

Puzzle Hunt - Join us for a series of brain-bending puzzles, specifically built for and themed to this event!

American Mah Jong Learn-and-Play - Rooted in a game from the 1800s, Mah Jong is suddenly a 2026 craze that's sweeping the nation! We'll give you an easy tutorial and then a chance to hop in and play.*

Cribbage Learn-and-Play - Speaking of games your parents played that suddenly are cool, we'll teach you how to play Cribbage too!*

Jigsaw Puzzle Race - At the beginning of the competition, every team will get a copy of the same jigsaw puzzle, then it's a race to see who can complete their 500-piece puzzle the fastest.

Pub Trivia - Welcome to pub trivia, done Quirk Events style. Form a team with friends, or make some new ones when you arrive. Then show off your group's knowledge of sports, music, history, pop culture and more!

Feud Night - We've polled 100 people and asked them such life-altering questions as, "what's a housecat's worst habit" or "what's one job the Hulk probably shouldn't apply for if he went looking for work?" Now it's up to our players to guess what more people said than anything else. Side Note: You can take our latest Feud Survey here and be one of those 100 people.

Music Bingo - Instead of your MC reading off boring things like A7 or B12, they are cranking out all of your favorite tunes. Each square on your classic 5x5 grid is the name of a song. If you hear your song coming from the speakers, cross it off. 5 in a row gets you BINGO!

Rock-Paper-Scissors Championship - Sure, we've mentioned a lot of great games above, but you know where true champions are crowned? Roshambo! This is about 10 or 15 minutes of rock-paper-scissor fury, until just one player is left standing.

And More - Like we said, it's our goal to cram in as many games as we can. So we'll still be trying to add more until official start time. If you run a company (or have a hobby or side hustle) where you think it would be fun to run a particular game for our event, drop us a line. Or just tell us if you just have a suggestion for something we should really consider adding. Either way, email us at host@quirkevents.com.
