Board Game Speed Dating
Do you offer Board Game Speed Dating events for ages 40+?
We have tried to offer these in the past, and they have struggled to sell well. It’s something we may do again in the future, but we are not sure when.

I'm outside the age range listed for an event — can I still come?
Yes, come as you are! Listed age ranges are a guideline, not a hard cutoff, even for our dating events. If you think you’d have a good time at our event, we’d still love to have you.
(The one exception is when an event is listed as 21+. In this case, a host venue has asked us to include this in our listing to conform with their liquor license rules, and you may be denied service if you’re underage and attempt to attend the event.)
Do you offer LGBTQ+ Board Game Speed Dating events?
Absolutely we do!
We already run them in a number of cities, and anywhere we don’t, we are hoping to launch them at some point in the next 6-12 months. I didn't get my board game speed dating match results — what do I do?
Matches usually go out by noon the day after a board game speed dating event, so they may just not have been sent yet. But once we get to 12pm, you really should have them, so try checking your spam or promotions folder, and if you still don’t see them, submit an inquiry through the contact-us form, being sure to tell us the date and city for the event you attended.
Please note: We only email match results to people who submitted the form at the end of the night, listing who you’d like to match with.
If I misspell someone’s name on the match form, will I miss out on a potential match?
Not usually.
Matches are calculated and sent out using spreadsheets and automation, but all of the data is looked over and hand-corrected by a human being before it’s fed into our system. If you’re looking to match with someone named Julianna and you put in Juliana, please rest assured we’ll figure it out.
However, if the submission is so garbled that we can’t even make an educated guess to match it to an attendee’s name, then there’s only so much we can do, and we move on.
This also counts if you used your last initial on your nametag. If you’re the only Josh at the event, and half of the people wanting to match with you put down ‘Josh’ and the other half put down ‘Josh H’, we’ll be able to handle that out too.
(The only time it becomes important to use a last initial is if you’re not the only one at the event with your first name. In these cases, we instruct our hosts to make sure certain attendees use their last initials on their nametags, and to make sure to instruct attendees to use those initials when submitting matches at the end of the night.)
